Since I’m on a bit of an (unsuccessful) spending ban for the next few weeks, I only headed to town with £5 in my pocket the other day… and still managed to come home with something that I’ve been wanting to try out for a really long time!
The Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos are cream eyeshadows in a glass pot that you could call a drugstore version of the MAC paint pots. The colour I chose was Pink Gold which was probably the subtlest colour available.
As you can see from the swatch above, the shadow is a pink based gold shimmer colour and is reasonably pigmented (I was a little bit scared to put my finger in at the time so I think the picture doesn’t show that very well). As for the consistency, I the shadow stays on your eyes for the entire day (as the name suggests!) and definitely is a lot easier to apply than a powder eyeshadow. The only problem I do find though is that, without eye primer, the shadow will all fold into your crease and leave you with a dodgy stripe of eyeshadow…
For £4.99, this product is a must have – and they have so many colours to choose from, too!
