My September Favourites

As I said in the start of my September Favourites video, I’m trying out a new way of blogging and YouTubing that I’m already really loving. I post one video a week on a Sunday and blog posts whenever I feel like it – I love it already! It’s just like when I first started Shaunyland but even more fun! One of the resolutions I made was that because there were to be less blog posts, more detail would be able to go into them. I found myself just doing blog posts for the sake of it when I posted daily and now I find myself actually enjoying writing the posts and therefore being able to put more detail and care into them.
Today, I’m going to talk about my September Favourites in conjunction with the video version being linked at the end of this post. I’m basically just going to do some short summary reviews of the products I mentioned in the video (the products that are pictured above) and then they’ll be linked to sites so you can easily buy them – simple!
The first thing I’ve been loving this month is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. FeelUnique (that I just linked as the name of the product) is the cheapest place to buy any shade other online other than 402 ‘Bronze’ which you can buy on FragranceDirect for £3.99, here. When I first bought this foundation, I realised that I really wasn’t very fond of the gel-like substance and decided that I’d just leave it on the side for a while. I think went back to it a week or so later and realised that if I really worked with the substance, I could get an almost flawless look on my skin! I can also safely say that this is great for people with oily to combination skin (like me) as long as you remember to use powder and also for dry skin because it’s really dewy!
The next product I mentioned in the video were the Maybelline Colour Tattoo’s in Metallic Pomegranate and On and On Bronze. I’ve been loving these things since I first discovered them back in July and I now have quite the mini collection! They’re designed to be bases to your pressed pigment eyeshadows but I actually just enjoy wearing them on their own. They’re lovely and creamy and so easy to apply that you only need to apply them with your finger! (Unless you’re planning on making the colour very rich because then I do recommend using a brush). I’m honestly obsessed and they’re so cheap at just a fiver!
I’ve also been loving my YSL Baby Doll Mascara this month. I got it back in August and I’m totally obsessed with it. I love the small and thing wand that makes it super easy to apply and it gives my eyes amazing volume and definition. It also seems to give the illusion that I’m wearing a very subtle line of eyeliner as well for some reason (but hey, I’m not complaining!)
I’ve been loving two different lip products this month: the Bourjois Colour Boost lip crayons and the Maybelline Baby Lips. I’m actually pretty late on the Colour Boost hype I think (I got this back at the end of August) but I can totally understand the hype. I totally love the colour range and they are so outstandingly pigmented as I show you in the video. You seriously only need to go over your lips once and the colour is right there! Incredible! As for the Baby Lips, I’ve been loving Cherry Me and Peach Kiss as every day lip products to wear to school. I feel that my lips are kept perfectly moisturised and hydrated and the colours are amazingly subtle which makes them perfect for everyday wear!
Finally, I’ve been loving the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail paints. The main thing I love is the brush. They brush is just wide enough that it covers my entire nail (it’s good enough to rival Essie brushes, actually!) and the colour range is incredible. The consistency is amazingly creamy, too, and they dry amazingly quickly. Plus, they’re almost impossible to chip which is definitely an added bonus!
