If you haven’t ever heard of this lip balm then where have you been? Commonly pitted against lip balm greats like the Dior Creme de Rose and the By Terry Baume de Rose, the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm is one of the best lip balms that a small budget can buy.
I’d been eyeing up this beauty for quite a while and was willing to purchase one as soon as I felt the urge to put in a FeelUnique order (so, pretty much all the time) but when I took a trip across the channel to good ol’ Paris this October, I picked myself a pot up over there.
The balm has definitely lived up to the hype and praise that surrounds it online. The balm smells citrus-y and zesty and upon application, it tastes very similar. It leaves a smooth layer of balm on the lips and despite taking a while to sink into your lips, it’s easy to work around whilst waiting for it to sink in.
The balm leaves the lips feeling smoother and plumper and is fantastic at healing chapped or dry flakes on the lips. Although, if you do have very flakey lips then may I recommend the Lush Lip scrubs (the Bubblegum flavour is a personal favourite); a product that exfoliates the lips and scrubs them smooth perfectly.
Overall, it’s fair to say that the Reve de Miel has lived up to the high expectations that I had of it; a lip balm that hydrates, slightly exfoliates and leaves my lips looking fantastic.
Now, do you think I could justify buying the stick version as well?…
