December Beauty Favourites

December Favourites videos always seem to be forgotten about because everyone (including myself) replaces them with their 2013 Beauty Favourites video. So, to oppose the discrimination against people’s December Beauty Favourites, here are a few of mine.
I always seem to find myself mentioning products on several occasions and this month is no exception. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate has sneaked its way into my makeup bag again this month due to how incredibly easy it is to apply and the rather Wintery colour. I also spy Essie ‘For The Twill of It’ which, even though I don’t think I have ever mentioned in a video, I know has been seen on Shaunyland on a few occasions. This little piece of gold dust has appeared once more for similar reasons to the Colour Tattoo: incredibly easy application and fantastic colour pay-off. It also works incredibly well under a shatter effect top coat (the OPI Black Shatter Top Coat is a personal favourite).
However, there are a few newbies that have only been seen around these parts on the odd occasion. The first being the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. I did a full review on this product that was somehow discovered by the team of Nuxe UK (link – here) and they seemed to be pleased with what I had said; this lip balm is a budget buyer’s holy grail lip balm. I’ll save the detailed thoughts (which are conveyed in the post) but this balm is fantastic for keeping those chapped winter lips under control.
Another fantastic product is the Soap & Glory One Heck of A Blot powder. I used to be head over heels in love with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder; I was repurchasing that £3.99 beauty time and time again. One day, though, I decided that the Stay Matte powder was total pants. My skin started to look like I was covered in crumbs (a very strange thought) and it really wasn’t as good to me as it was before. So, I headed down to Boots and found this beauty providing almost invisible shine control. Thanks S&G.
The final favourite from this month is a rather random one. The Body Shop’s Cranberry Joy Shower Gel caught my nostrils’ attention on a recent visit to the Body Shop and it didn’t take me very many days to head back in and pick up a bottle. The scent could easily be a scent from any time of the year, but it does have a very Christmassy warmth… a shame I discovered it only three days before Christmas.
