Butter London ‘Fiver’

Firstly, please accept my apology for the most horrific nail painting you’ve ever seen on a blog. Not only was I in a rush to take the photograph, but my mother was in a rush to get me out of the house because family were waiting outside in the car to pick me up. Fail
Nonetheless, I think this true dedication to getting a snap of this gorgeous colour shows you how much I really have fallen in love with it. The colour in question is Fiver by Butter London; a recent find by me when on the hunt to add even more shades to my mint green nail bank. Let us just take a moment to admire the sheer beauty of this shade…
Unlike other mint greens that I have, ‘Fiver’ could be thought of as an off-white with a strong mint green hue to it, so much so that I actually think of this as white nails that have been coloured in mint green because of how fresh the colour looks. If you think that Mint Candy Apple is a bit too blue or a bit too green then this colour would be a fantastic solution to your nail polish woes.
As well as being a wonderful shade, the application process is somewhat enjoyable (and considering I find putting on nail polish a bit of a chore, that’s saying something). The brush is so thin that reminds me of the L’Oreal nail colours and the original Essie brushes which makes apply colour a lot easier, actually. The brush also deposits a healthy amount of colour and building the colour wet isn’t as much of an issue as it is with other polishes; just two coats of this beauty and you have the result as shown above.
If you’re looking for a way to take on the off-white nail trend this season then this shade is a must have. If you’re not willing to spend £12 on a nail colour, L’Oreal do a similar shade along with three other off-white pastel shades. But let’s save talking about those for a review in the not-so-distant future, shall we?…
