Growing A Baby

After essentially hibernating for the past nine months, I return on the back of the announcement of my debut play Paper Dolls to talk about what I’ve been up to, where I’m going from here, and exactly why it’s taken me nine months to finally get going on the career path I teased last Autumn.

My New Relationship with Podcasting

Two years ago this month, I started working on my first podcast adventure: season one of Opening Doors. Since then, a lot has changed in regards to the work that I am putting out and the landscape is changing more and more each day. As I add a third podcast into my collection this week, I wanted to take a moment to zoom out and look at my podcasting life as a whole and ultimately work out what the point of it all is.

I wanted to make it my mission to create a narrative about a young, gay character where their main story arc wasn’t their coming out. But even though that’s what I wanted to portray in the show, the main character I play isn’t like me at all.

Three’s A Crowd

On a complete whim this week (it always happens on a whim), we welcomed a third cat into our home: Salem, named after the ever-iconic feline star of the Nickelodeon hit show ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’. Initially though, the idea of having a third cat daunted me like no one’s business, but not so much my mother. But as the days have passed, the tables have turned…
